Searching for the 4th Nail
"Searching For The Fourth Nail" is the story of Romani (Gypsy) filmmaker George Eli trying
to find the roots
of his culture. It is however, the individual stories of the Romani subjects orbiting around the filmmaker
that come together and form the heart of the film. Personal tales of discrimination, loss and discovery are
set against the backdrop of the many major North American cities where Romani people live. The film is a
commentary on the intense love and conflicted passions of Romani people today.

Utopia in Four Movements
(a live film by Sam Green)
Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Sam Green and sound artist Dave Cerf have combined forces to create "Utopia in Four Movements," a 'live documentary' that is never exactly the same twice. To a live evocative soundscape, Green narrates the eclectic history of man's quest for his ideals, touching on efforts as varied as the creation of Esperanto to Cuba to the construction of the world's largest shopping mall, while musing hopefully about what lies ahead. Green is a natural storyteller, and his performance, along with the band The Quavers, make for an electrically charged and scintillating evening of film, music, and - most importantly - community.
A 'live documentary' by Sam Green & Dave Cerf. Produced with Jasmine Dellal.

Freedom Writers
"Freedom Writers" tells the tale of an extraordinary high school class who,
by learning about World War II, broke a cycle of teenage violence and failure
in their inner city. It shows how one teacher transcended deep-rooted prejudice
and a struggling education system with reading, writing, energy and genuine faith
in her students. This is a story about change.
